The hidden inner path or inner body of Shariat is known as "TAREEQAT".

The complying of divine worship and moral privileges prescribed according to the law of Islam as render to its dues is known as" A maal-e-zaahiri" , while the branch which deals with A Maal-e-Baatini is called as " Tassawuf ". The ways or methods of acquiring the knowledge of A Maal-e-Baatini is known as "Tareeqat". The recognition of that which is beneficial and harmful to the Nafs is also known as "A Maal-e-Baatini".
